This blog is a love letter to Heathenry in many ways. It is my desire to write about Heathen belief from the perspective of a reconstructionist who also identifies as a progressive feminist. I make no claims to be an expert or the Asapope. I invite respectful and thoughtful disagreement. I just want to make Heathenry better by challenging myself and others through my writing.
A few definitions

Heathenry: A polytheistic faith modeled on the pre-Christian belief systems adhered to by the Germanic peoples of Iron Age and Early Medieval Europe.
Reconstructionism: A method to understand the structure, beliefs, rituals, customs and culture of a culture to apply the core concepts to modern religion and life.
About Lauren
Lauren is the She Who Must Be Obeyed of Black Bear Kindred of Central Arkansas. She is also on the board of Arkansas Pagan Pride. Beyond that, she is active in kicking hate out of Heathenry, shaming Nazis, and organizing local Heathen meetups.
When not working as a software analyst, she loves to knit, play with her dogs, gardening, and telling kids to get off her lawn.
She is married with two dogs and hoping to adopt in the near future.
